Manufacturing has a long history in Niagara and has been a very important sector for the region’s economy. It still remains a vital economic contributor to the region and continues to evolve, diversify, and grow. That is the focus of the Niagara Manufacturing Profile.

The manufacturing sector still ranks as the fourth largest employment sector in the region with 18,791 jobs and contributes to 14% of GDP at $2.4 billion. New investment activity in manufacturing has been relatively high recently which signals confidence in the sector, both now and for the future.
