Niagara wine is recognized on the world stage

The Decanter World Wine Awards is the world’s largest and most influential competition for wine, and includes almost 17,000 wines from 57 countries. Niagara’s wineries had a strong showing at the 16th annual competition as 132 wines were recognized with awards, including seven gold medals recognizing Henry of Pelham, Hidden Bench, Lakeview Cellars, Peller Estates, Thirty Bench and Trius Wines.

Niagara has some of Canada’s top-ranked Icewine, Riesling, and sparkling wine and the region’s unique terroir makes it one of the most acclaimed grape-growing and wine making regions in the country.
