The Vineland Research and Innovation Centre (VRIC) offers a support program for those in the horticultural industry who are interested in automating their business, but may not have the knowledge or resources to begin the process. The centre primarily focuses in research and development of new technology in horticulture, and assisting horticulture businesses with research and development to optimize business operations.

VRIC staff will conduct a thorough assessment of the business before recommending the best options to improve efficiency, so they can ensure that the business puts in technology that best fits its needs. There is no cost for the initial assessment and the reception from businesses have generally been positive so far.
