Lincoln based, Vineland Research and Innovation Centre have spent 6 years testing thousands of variants of sweet potato. The goal was that one day, a sweet potato could be grown in Canada’s unique climate.
That goal has been reached with what Vineland is calling, the “Radiance” variety of sweet potato. “Radiance” can make it to harvest in about 100 days, meaning the sweet potato will have the ability to be picked before the first frost hits.
