St. Catharines held twice as many events during Culture Days 2020 than any other Canadian city, making it tops in national rankings.
The annual Culture Days celebration sees communities across the country put a spotlight on the arts by offering free activities for the public.
This year’s event ran Sept. 25 to Oct. 25 and included online activities in addition to some in-person events with safety precautions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The national Culture Days charity organization said St. Catharines hosted 197 of the 2,062 events across Canada, the most of any community of any size.
Brampton was second with 98 events and Oakville was third with 82.
