New transit hub in Niagara Falls

A new bus hub has opened in the southwest end of Niagara Falls.

On Canadian Drive, between Pin Oak Drive and Montrose Road, the hub will accommodate Niagara Falls Transit and Niagara Region Transit connections.

It includes dedicated bus route bays as well as accessible walkways and shelters.

City officials said having multiple buses at a subterminal allows easy transfer from one bus to another without having to wait on the street.

“Improvements in transit are improvements to our community as a whole,” said Mayor Jim Diodati.
