Eric Chou

Eric Chou is a passionate promoter of Niagara’s assets and competitive advantages with extensive experience in business development and consultative sales. Prior to joining the Economic Development team, Eric served as International Accounts Director at Scotiabank Convention Centre Niagara, working with a wide range of global stakeholders to attract an impressive array of business events and travellers to the Niagara region.

In addition to an impressive track record promoting Niagara as a one-of-a-kind conference and travel destination, Eric brings a unique combination of foreign direct investment, business development, marketing, and promotion experience to his portfolio of responsibilities focused on growing the Region’s key economic sectors. Over the course of the past two decades, Eric has held positions of increasing responsibility in tourism sales and stakeholder relations, including Senior Manager of Association Relations with MCI Group, Sales Manager, International Relations with the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and Director of Sales, International Business Events for Tourism Toronto.

Eric earned a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Hotel and Food Administration from the University of Guelph and has developed close ties with the local academic community since transitioning his career to Niagara in 2017.
