Thorold company works hard to meet demand for coronavirus detection kits

Norgen Biotek could triple production and double staff if there wasn’t supply shortage.

Yousef Haj-Ahmad manufactures coronavirus testing kits.

The largest issue his company is facing, along with many others worldwide, is not on the detection side but in fact due to the shortage of supplies.

When those become available, Yousef Haj-Ahmad said, “we could triple our capacity … quadruple it” and hire at least another 50 workers to more than double current staffing levels.
