Mark Rupcic
Mark Rupcic is an Economic Development Officer with Niagara Region Economic Development, where he works closely with businesses, municipal partners, and senior government representatives to help bring new trade and investment to Niagara. Known for his strong customer-service mindset and relationship-driven approach, Mark builds trusted partnerships that support business expansion, foreign direct investment, and sustainable regional development.
Mark brings a unique blend of public- and private-sector experience to his role. He began his career with the Ontario Public Service and most recently served in the Office of the Niagara Regional Chair, supporting Regional Council in delivering strategic priorities. He also spent 25 years as both a self-employed communications and marketing consultant, and as Principal, Business Development for a full-service creative agency, where he partnered extensively with municipal economic development agencies across Niagara and beyond. In that capacity, he led award-winning marketing campaigns, advanced investment attraction initiatives, and managed a diverse portfolio of public- and private-sector clients.
A lifelong Niagara resident, Mark offers deep regional knowledge, long-standing municipal relationships, and a practical, investor-focused perspective. His cross-sector experience and commitment to service position him as a valued partner in driving trade, investment, and long-term economic prosperity for the Niagara region.
