Monica Nieuwland

Monica’s primary focus on the Niagara Economic Development team is to serve as a main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. She is also responsible for advising on divisional procedural matters, and for planning, leading and managing a variety of special projects.

Prior to joining the Niagara Economic Development team, Monica spent eight years supporting various international development projects throughout Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. Each project contributed to institutional initiatives, which have been instrumental in connecting people to opportunities.

Monica has an honours degree in International Commerce & Global Development from Niagara College and a diploma in Paralegal Administration form Sheridan College.
