Provincial government announces $23.9 million for Niagara transit projects

The provincial government has announced $23.9 million in funding for 24 transit projects for St. Catharines, Welland, Fort Erie, Pelham, and the Niagara Region.

Projects include a $5 million operations facility in Welland for buses, a $1.5 million transit hub that would link to a future GO train terminal in Niagara Falls, a $3.3 million expansion for bus maintenance and storage in St. Catharines, and funding allocated for the purchasing of buses across the region.
