New grain elevator partnership good news for Niagara farmers

A new partnership between Ceres Global Ag and London Agricultural Commodities (LAC) is going to be a big boon for Niagara wheat, corn and soy producers.

The partnership between Ceres Global Ag and LAC opens up Ceres’ grain elevator storage solutions to local farmers, and the potential for greater national and international reach.

With 129 bins in the elevator, the southern portion of the facility, the capacity for storage is 2.2 million bushels or 62,500 tons — enough to fill three vessels. And Ceres’ location in Port Colborne means it can send and receive product by lakers, oceangoing vessels, transport and rail.
