Canadian farmers under 40 years old now have access to a new national program aimed at connecting, supporting, and amplifying the voices of young farmers and young agricultural leaders across the country.

Canada’s Young Farmers, coordinated by Farm Management Canada, will offer leadership and professional development opportunities, mentorship, networking, learning events, and resources tailored to the priorities identified by young farmers.

Areas of focus include:

  • Farm financial literacy
  • Risk management and business planning
  • Farm transition and succession planning
  • Farm leadership and governance
  • Communications and advocacy
  • Industry engagement and representation

The initiative was developed through consultation with young farmers, young farmer organizations, program leaders, and national partners. According to Farm Management Canada, it responds to a desire for stronger national collaboration and better connections within Canada’s young farmer community.

Additional information, including upcoming events, resources, and participating organizations, is available at cyf-rac.ca. Canada’s Young Farmers can also be found on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.
