Metrolinx has announced a year-round GO train weekend service to Niagara, starting on August 31. The region currently has weekend service from St. Catharines and Niagara Falls to Union Station during the summer months, but the new changes extend this to year-round service.

These new and extended train trips aim to give people more choices during their commute to and from Toronto, and begin to increase service to 365 days a year. In addition to weekend service, there is currently one weekday trip available between Toronto and Niagara Falls.
