Indian Business Delegation visits Niagara

An event held to highlight opportunities for investment in Niagara and India

Niagara welcomed a 19 member delegation of Indian businesses at the Niagara Region in early September.

With remarks from Regional Chair Jim Bradley, and Economic Development Director Valerie Kuhns, the Indian business delegation had an opportunity to learn about business and trade in Niagara, and to meet with local Niagara businesses and business leaders.

India is one of the world’s fastest growing economies, and a priority market for Canada in a variety of sectors, including engineering, agribusiness, aerospace, clean technology, transportation and infrastructure.

Canada and India actively partner to strengthen their business-to-business ties and encourage joint research and development projects that spur entrepreneurship and innovation.

The event was a great opportunity for strengthening business relationships between India and Niagara.
